My Humor Style

My results of the HSQ was “You have a mostly affiliative sense of humor”. To give an idea of what that means, thecut.com defined it as “Everyone’s humor is a mix of all four styles, but yours leans most heavily toward affiliative, meaning you’re good at cracking jokes and trading banter to build connections with other people”.

I struggle taking quizzes like the HSQ because I feel I can never answer correctly from my own perspective. This result of the HSQ feels somewhat right though! While I am definitely introverted, when I finally do get to know someone, I feel I communicate most through humor. Not all of my jokes are bangers, but I think that they do help connect me with others.

As I’ve been reading Hyperbole and a Half, I’ve found some parts funny, but not everything to be hilarious. I don’t know if it’s the older styled comedy from when the time the book was published or the humor doesn’t match my results, but I think it’s okay. I think it’s a good book, but just not for me though I thought I would love it!
